Junior account manager


Function: Account Manager in Kunming/Other regions    

Content of function: 

- Introduce and maximize sales of Dummen Orange portfolio      

- Provide commercial support    

- Perform sales activities    

- Technical & Marketing support to customers and Inform management team    

Place in organsation:  Account Manager reports to Commercial Manager    

Tasks External:

- Visit clients    

- Visit and participate in exhibitions    

- Provide technical and commercial support to growers    

- Acquire new customers    

- Maintain relations with existing customers    

- Define and offer proposals to customers    

- Define key account plans (together with customers)    

- Perform sales activities    

- Perform marketing activities    

Tasks Internal: 

- Preparation and presentation sales plan for budget 

- Visit all clients according to plan    

- Produce market report according to format and report to Commercial Manager.    

- Plan visits next month and discuss these with Commercial Manager.    

- Make a preparation for and attend technical support meetings.    

- Preparing and actively participating in sales meetings    

- Provide visit reports of every client visit according template, including pictures and report to Commercial Manager     

- Obtaining market information through stakeholders in horticultural business.    

- Handling of technical issues of clients and ensure that clients get the right technical support    

- Administration of client information and communication after contact with client or prospect     

- Placing and coordinating orders with Customer Service department    

- Acquire and expand knowledge of the varieties grown by a client and know their performances    

- Actively manage individual and team key performance indicators    

- Collection of payments.    

Meeting structure:  

- Weekly coordination with sales team and commercial manager    

- Monthly Sales Meeting    

- Staff meetings    

- Quarterly forecast meetings    


- Bachelor/ master degree, preferably in horticulture or international business     

- Take responsibility and initiative    

- Fluent in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken level 

- Good computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office     

- Motivated and hardworking 

- Well organised and detail-minded  

- Good interpersonal skills and good team spirit    

- Flexible and proactive attitude   

- Willing to travel 120 days a year    

- In possession of a Car Driving license    

- Able to start and maintain relations with clients.    

- Representative appearance     

- Technical knowledge cultivation preferred    

- Ability to work independently
